Pre-production preparation work for Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical’s 1 million tons per year continuous reforming complex project

The key construction project in Hunan Province, the Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical 1 million tons per year continuous reforming complex project, has been mechanically completed. Efforts are being intensified to carry out the \"three inspections and four determinations\" as well as the preparatory work for production. To date, over 1.2 million safe man-hours have been logged, with the overall progress reaching more than 75%. This project utilizes Sinopec’s ultra-low pressure continuous reforming process technology (SLCR) and the domestically produced reforming catalyst PS-Ⅵ. It uses straight-run naphtha and mixed naphtha from storage tanks as raw materials to produce C6/C7 fractions, mixed xylene, and high-octane gasoline components, while also generating reforming hydrogen as a by-product. Once the project is completed and put into operation this year, the quality of gasoline produced by Hunan Petrochemical, as well as its energy consumption and emissions, will reach domestic leadership levels, meeting the requirements for improved product quality.
