The main air compressor of the air separation unit in the Huayi Syngas POX project, which is under the general contracting of Tianchen Company, has been successfully tested. Recently, the joint testing of the main air compressor of this air separation unit, with a capacity of 29,500 kW and representing the most powerful unit in the entire Huayi Syngas project, was completed successfully. This marks a breakthrough at a key stage of the project, and it signals that the commissioning of the equipment across the whole site has entered a new phase. The trial run lasted for two days, and through multiple rounds of debugging and technical efforts, technical challenges such as vibration-induced shutdowns and the calibration of surge curves were successfully resolved, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent stable operation of the air separation unit. To ensure the success of the commissioning, prior to its official commencement, the equipment team takes the lead in conducting on-site inspections in collaboration with departments such as piping, electrical systems, and instrumentation, thereby applying lean management principles to achieve zero errors throughout the commissioning process. The project team at Tianchen Company ensured that the pipeline’s sealing performance and the accuracy of the instruments met the design requirements through tasks such as pressure testing to detect leaks and signal calibration, thereby providing comprehensive support for the safe startup of the subsequent equipment. The successful completion of this critical phase not only verified the performance of the equipment and its system integration capabilities, but also provided valuable experience for the subsequent joint debugging of the air separation unit. The Shanghai Huayi Pox project team will take this commissioning trial as a new starting point, fully cooperating with the client to advance the commissioning process. While ensuring a smooth completion, it will make every effort to carry out subsequent tasks in order to deliver a satisfactory result for both the client and the company.
