On July 7, an announcement was issued regarding the successful bid for the preparation of the \"Feasibility Study Report\" for the China Coal Linxi Wind-Solar Hydrogen Production Combined with Biomass Green Methanol Demonstration Project; the bidder was Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. On July 7, the China Coal Linxi County Wind-Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Project (Phase I: Green Methanol section) and the China Coal Linxi County Wind-Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Project (Phase I: Hydrogen production section) were approved for registration. The China Coal Linxi County Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Project (Phase I: Green Methanol Section) is located in Chifeng City – Linxi County – Chifeng Linxi Industrial Park, with a total investment of 1,146,467,700 yuan. The project owner is China Coal (Linxi) Bioenergy Co., Ltd. Construction contents: The total construction area is 80,658㎡, including a comprehensive building, a central control room, a central laboratory building, warehouses, a methanol finished product storage area, a vehicle loading station, maintenance workshops, a chemical storage facility, and other supporting auxiliary facilities. A new methanol production line has been built, enabling an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of green methanol. Planned construction period: July 2025 to July 2027. The China Coal Linxi County Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Project (the hydrogen production phase of Phase I) is located in Chifeng City – Linxi County – Chifeng Linxi Industrial Park. The project owner is China Coal (Linxi) Bioenergy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 517.98 million yuan. Construction scale and details: The total construction area is 4,550.04㎡. One new hydrogen production workshop will be built, equipped with 16 sets of alkaline water electrolysis systems capable of producing hydrogen at a rate of 1,400 Nm³/h, as well as 10 hydrogen storage tanks with a capacity of 2,000 m³ each; this will enable an annual hydrogen production capacity of 7,901 tons ； Auxiliary facilities such as voltage reduction stations and transformers are provided as well. Planned construction period: March 2026 to August 2027. On July 7, information on the Online Approval Service Hall for Investment Projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region showed an explanation regarding the cancellation of the photovoltaic component of the first phase of the China Coal Linxi County Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Project. According to the information, due to significant changes in the photovoltaic section of the first phase of China Coal Linxi County’s integrated wind and solar hydrogen production project, the application for project code 2505-150424-04-01-866682 has been submitted for cancellation, and the Linxi County Development and Reform Commission has agreed to revoke this project.
