It was recently reported that the first phase of the comprehensive application project for carbon-based new materials, built by Wuhai Anlun New Technology Co., Ltd., has been launched. The project is located in the Low-Carbon Park of the Wuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Inner Mongolia. It is currently in the preliminary preparation stage. The project is constructed in two phases, including a 280,000-ton/year carbon black production unit, a 2.63 million tons/year upgraded coal pyrolysis unit, a 300,000-ton/year high-temperature coal tar processing unit, a 150,000-ton/year low-temperature coal tar processing unit, a 125,000-ton/year LNG production unit, a 95,000-ton/year synthetic ammonia production unit, along with supporting auxiliary facilities and environmental protection systems. For the first phase of this project, the total investment amounts to 1,779.8055 million RMB. It includes a pyrolysis unit with a production capacity of 1.2 million tons per year for upgraded coal, a processing unit for high-temperature coal tar with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year, a processing unit for low-temperature coal tar with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year, and a carbon black production unit with a capacity of 171,000 tons per year. The project is a new coal chemical material project aimed at upgrading low-grade coal; construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with a construction period of 2 years, and operation is expected to start in September 2027. Wuhai Anlun New Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2022; its registered address is located in the Low-Carbon Industrial Park in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The company has two shareholders: the controlling shareholder is Shanxi Anlun Chemical Co., Ltd. (with a 90% shareholding ratio), while the other shareholder is Inner Mongolia Guangju New Materials Co., Ltd.
