Launch Date: September 1, 2025. Location: Gansu Province. Project owner: Gansu Runlonghongneng Energy Management Co., Ltd. Total investment amount: 400 million yuan. Current progress: Tendering for EPC general contracting. Location of construction: Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. Scope of construction: A demonstration project for the production of 150,000 tons of green methanol per year is planned to be built. The project will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, a 200,000-ton biomass gasification and syngas conversion facility will be built, along with 50 MW of off-grid photovoltaic systems and 100 MW of off-grid wind turbines (the specifics to be determined based on feasibility studies). A 50,000-ton carbon dioxide hydrogenation methanol production facility and a 140,000-ton carbon dioxide separation facility will also be established, along with related supporting equipment ； The second phase of the project involves the construction of a 350MW off-grid wind and solar power facility (the specifics will be determined based on the feasibility study); it also includes the installation of 500MW of hydrogen production equipment via water electrolysis, as well as a 100,000-ton capacity facility for producing methanol through carbon dioxide hydrogenation, along with related supporting facilities. Energy storage systems will also be installed depending on the actual requirements of the project.
