On November 15, the pressure testing of the process pipelines in the desalinated water system of the western section of the utility tunnel at the Nantong Blue Sea New Materials pilot plant project, part of the fifth branch company, was successful on the first attempt. This marked the successful completion of the hydraulic pressure testing for the first set of process pipelines in this project, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent pressure testing of other systems. It is reported that the process pipeline system of this project comprises 236 pressure testing packages, covering 15 different test pressure levels, and is characterized by a wide range and complex interfaces. As the first process pipeline to undergo pressure testing in the project, the successful pressure testing of the West Zone demineralized water system serves as a \"crucial test\" for evaluating the project team’s capabilities in organizing pressure tests, their technical readiness, and their efficiency in on-site coordination. To ensure the safe and efficient progress of the first pressure testing phase, before carrying out the testing, project technicians conducted a thorough review of the testing area, operating conditions, and construction boundaries. They also checked each item of the documentation related to the pressure testing to guarantee that all technical documents were accurate and error-free. At the same time, professional calibration is carried out on key instruments such as pressure gauges and pressure-temperature recorders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test data. In light of the diverse pressure levels involved in the project, the project team developed a specialized pressure testing plan that specifies the gradient of pressure increase, the time required for maintaining stable pressure, key points for inspection, as well as emergency response procedures. Relevant personnel were briefed on the safety and technical aspects involved, ensuring that they were familiar with and understood the pressure testing process, operational requirements, and safety risks, thereby providing a solid safety and technical foundation for the testing operations. The successful completion of the pressure testing of the desalinated water system in the western area of the Nantong Blue Sea New Materials pilot plant project provides replicable experience for the large-scale pressure testing of the pipeline systems in subsequent phases of the project. Next, all team members involved in the project will use this successful pressure testing as an opportunity to accelerate the pressure testing of other systems as well as various subsequent construction tasks. By working together and overcoming challenges, they will strive to meet the project’s delivery deadlines, ensuring that the project is completed with high quality on schedule.
