Air Products (Hefei) Co., Ltd. plans to invest approximately 189 million yuan to expand its bulk gas facility located in the Hefei Xinqiao Science and Technology Innovation Zone, in order to significantly increase the production capacity of high-purity nitrogen. The environmental impact assessment document for this project entered the public notice phase for acceptance on November 21. It is reported that the expansion project will be carried out in two phases: in the first phase, a new TN370 nitrogen production unit (including a cryogenic tank, expanders, etc.) will be installed, while nitrogen production will initially be carried out using the existing spare compressors at the facility ； In the second phase, new compressors will be purchased to replace the existing backup equipment used in the first phase. Once the project is fully completed and put into operation, it is expected to generate an additional production capacity of 37,000 standard cubic meters per hour of high-purity nitrogen, with corresponding facilities such as power supply and distribution systems, fire protection systems, and circulating cooling water systems also being installed.
