[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] Installation of 97-meter-high flare tower completed for MTBE project in Algeria

On November 10, the final section of the flare tower for the Algeria MTBE project, which was constructed under the EPC general contracting arrangement by the Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Company consortium, was accurately installed, marking the successful completion of the flare lifting work for this project. It is reported that the torch tower is 97 meters tall and weighs 129 tons; it has a slender structure, its center of gravity is relatively high, which requires high wind stability. The project team adopted a \"segmental assembly and overall lifting\" approach, dividing the tower and flare stack into 4 segments. After assembly and alignment were completed on the ground, a 400-ton crawler crane and a 120-ton truck crane worked together to lift and connect the segments step by step. From the first lifting operation on November 4th to the precise placement of the last section, the entire process took seven days, resulting in a perfect assembly in the air.
