Filing for the enterprise investment project of Shanxi Jinyan’s 2.15 million tons/year coking plant transformation project: upgrading from 6.98 m top-loading to 6.60 m ramming process

On December 4, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province accepted the application for the registration of this enterprise investment project (related to technological transformation) for Shanxi Jinyan’s technological upgrade project, which involves changing the height of the coke ovens from 6.98 meters to 6.60 meters, with a production capacity of 2.15 million tons per year. Project start date: Construction begins in January 2026. Project end date: Completion is scheduled for December 2026. The existing top-mounted coke ovens will be replaced with rammed coke ovens, and a 1×190t/h dry quenching unit as well as 15MW waste heat power generation facilities will be installed. Construction scale and details: 1. Capacity source: Approved at # tons per Jinjingxin Energy Letter [2012] No. 411; # tons were reduced per Lü Government Letter [2020] No. 71, leaving # tons. This technical upgrade will transform the original #-ton project into one with a capacity of 210.# tons. 2. Construction contents: The original coking plant with a capacity of # tons per year and a chamber height of 6.98 meters was approved for construction via the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology (Document No. Jin Jing Xin Neng Yuan Han [2015] No. 335) (omitted) (omitted) as well as the Xiaojingxin Approval Letter [2020] No. 20. Now, this plant is to be upgraded from a type #-1 top-loading coker with a chamber height of 6.98 meters and a capacity of # tons per year to a SDJL6652D type ramming coker with a chamber height of 6.60 meters and a capacity of 210 tons per year. The number of coke ovens will be 175, consisting of 2x60 + 55 ovens. The accompanying coal preparation systems, gas purification and chemical product recovery facilities, environmental protection devices such as desulfurization and denitrification systems, as well as auxiliary facilities, will remain unchanged. Additionally, a new 1x190t/h dry quenching unit and a 15MW waste heat power generation unit will be installed. The purpose of using the coke oven gas will remain unchanged. The industrial and information technology departments at the city and county levels urge enterprises to carry out the renovations in strict accordance with the submitted plans.
