Project Name: Donghua Energy (Maoming) Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd.’s 20,000 tons/year carbon fiber production project. Launch date: October 22, 2025. Location: Guangdong Province. Current progress: Project registration completed. Construction location: Green Chemicals and Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park, Binhai New Area, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Scope of construction: Phase 1 of the project involves the addition of 4 spinning lines and 4 carbonization lines, along with a 40,000-ton capacity polymerization production line for the two-step process. Additional facilities such as raw material preparation systems, solvent recovery units, water treatment systems, and power generation equipment will also be installed. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 9,600 tons of high-performance carbon fiber. The second phase of the project adds 2 spinning lines and 2 carbonization lines, along with facilities for precursor preparation and solvent recovery. Progress milestone: 2025-10-21. It was recently learned that the project has been registered (project registration). Date of registration: 2025-07-14.
