On December 22, the 2 million kilowatt wind power-to-hydrogen integration project in Zhalaitai Banner, Xingan League, owned by CRRC, had its hydrogen production phase approved for implementation. The project is located in Xingan League–Ulanhote City–Xingan League-Ulanhote City–Inner Mongolia Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone. The entity responsible for the project is Zhalai Te Banner Hydrogen Innovation Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 3,644 million yuan. The project mainly involves the construction of 216 alkaline electrolyzers with a capacity of 1000 Nm³/h, 54 gas-liquid separation and purification units with a capacity of 4000 Nm³/h, hydrogen compression systems, 96 hydrogen storage tanks with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters each, as well as supporting systems such as air compressors and cooling water systems. The hydrogen production capacity will be 216,000 Nm³/h; once the project is fully operational, it will be able to produce 80,000 tons of green hydrogen per year. The project is scheduled to start in December 2026 and be completed in December 2028.
