A lithium manganese iron phosphate project with a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan has been established in Yinchuan, Ningxia. On December 26, the Hengchuang project, which aims to produce 130,000 tons of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials per year and involves an investment of 4.8 billion yuan, was put into operation in the Yinchuan Economic Development Zone. It is reported that the project will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 involves the construction of a production line capable of producing 25,000 tons of lithium manganese iron phosphate per year; once operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of no less than 1 billion yuan and create over 100 new jobs. Once the project is fully completed, it will further enhance the industrial chain for new battery materials in the park, driving the industry toward higher levels of sophistication, sustainability, and intelligence. According to available information, since its establishment in 2022, Jiangsu Hengchuang Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. has focused on the niche market of lithium-ion battery cathode materials, specifically lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP). The company is currently working on expanding its production capacity by 30,000 tons, with completion expected by the end of 2026. By building intelligent production facilities and optimizing the layout of its production lines, the company aims to further strengthen its competitive advantages in terms of innovation and scale in the LMFP sector.
