After the 1.2 million tons of PBAT produced by Dongjing Green Energy, another 720,000 tons of BDO and 2 million tons of PBAT will be produced! On December 25, the Wuhai Municipal Government and Shanghai Dongjing Green Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the investment cooperation agreement. During the ceremony, the two parties signed an investment cooperation agreement for the “Shanghai Dongjing Green Energy Wuhai Biodegradable Materials Industrial Park Project”. This project mainly involves the construction of a PBAT production facility with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, a modification facility with an annual capacity of 3 million tons, and a products manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 2 million tons. Its goal is to develop a complete industrial chain centered on PBAT, ranging from coal to BDO, to PBAT, and finally to biodegradable modified materials. Shortly thereafter, on December 26, the Administrative Office of Alxa League signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Dongjing Green Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. It is understood that the projects under signing this time mainly involve the Alxa High-Tech Zone and the Twin Wells Beach Demonstration Area, with an emphasis on developing a complete industrial chain centered on PBAT, ranging from coal and coking to BDO, PBAT, and biodegradable modified materials. The total investment in these projects is 19.34 billion yuan, and it is expected that once all the projects are fully operational, they will generate an annual output value of over 60 billion yuan. Among these, a project for building a coking plant with a capacity of 3 million tons and an LNG production facility capable of producing 220,000 tons per year is being invested in at the Twin Wells Beach demonstration area. Meanwhile, projects for constructing a BDO plant with an annual capacity of 720,000 tons, a PBAT plant with an annual capacity of 2 million tons, and a plant for producing biodegradable modified materials with an annual capacity of 4 million tons are being invested in at the Alxa High-Tech Zone. At the same time, leveraging abundant wind and solar resources as well as the advantage of green electricity supply, efforts are intensified to advance cooperation on new energy projects such as direct connection of green electricity to the grid and its integration into the power grid.
