[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] CNOOC Engineering completes the first phase of pipelaying work for the RUYA project in Qatar

China’s contractor has completed the pipeline-laying work for the first phase of the RUYA project. On February 26, Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as OOE) announced that the vessel \"Offshore Oil 201\" had successfully finished all the pipeline-laying tasks for the first phase of the NOC RUYA EPCI09 contract project (referred to as the RUYA project) in Qatar. It is reported that the contract value for the RUYA project exceeds 1 billion US dollars, making it the largest offshore pipeline laying project undertaken by a Chinese company to date. The project site is the Al-Shaheen oil field, one of the largest and most complex oil fields in the world. The project scope includes the project management, detailed design, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning, and related activities for 41 subsea pipelines and 9 composite subsea cables in that oil field area.
