On January 6, the steel coal hopper in the coal storage area of Unit 1 at the China Shenhua Wushenqi coal power plant construction site was officially lifted. This represents another significant advancement following the successful lifting of the steel coal hopper in the coal storage area of Unit 2, indicating that the installation of large-scale equipment in these areas is progressing simultaneously from multiple locations. It is reported that this lifting operation is an important control point in the construction of the coal bin area. Steel coal hoppers are large in size and complex in structure, requiring high levels of stress control and spatial coordination. Building on the progress of Unit 2’s construction, the project team optimized the lifting routes and sequence of operations to ensure continuous and efficient construction management. During construction, the steel coal hopper was built in sections according to the plan, with the overall lifting of the lower structure being completed first. The lifting operations are primarily carried out using 140-ton tower cranes, with crawler cranes assisting in turning the components and adjusting their positions. Dedicated personnel are in charge of directing the operations and ensuring controlled management in different areas, resulting in a safe and smooth lifting process.
