Recently, the safety organic liquid storage and hydrogen storage demonstration project of Tianjin Bohai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tianjin Bohai) was successfully put into operation. Through independent research and development, this project has overcome technical challenges such as hydrogen storage catalysts, process optimization, and system integration, providing a new approach for the safe and economical storage and transportation of hydrogen energy. In the future, this project will focus on self-developed safe hydrogen-based energy storage and release devices, and by utilizing hydrogen produced as a by-product of industrial processes, it will create China’s first demonstration closed-loop system for storing and using hydrogen in safe organic liquid form.
