On January 13, the Suqian Ecology and Environment Bureau announced for public comment its intention to approve the construction project of Coribon (Jiangsu) Technology Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 4,300 tons of fine chemicals, 2,700 tons of reagent-grade sodium fluoride, 23,700 tons of polyaluminum chloride as a water treatment agent, and 740 tons of sodium sulfite per year. The project involves an investment of 100 million yuan; through technological upgrades, it will enable annual production of 4,300 tons of fine chemicals, including 1,500 tons per year of 2,4’-difluorobenzophenone, 1,500 tons per year of 4,4’-difluorobenzophenone, 500 tons per year of 3-difluoromethyl-1-methylpyrazole-4-carboxylic acid (high-purity grade – 500 tons to be produced by purifying and upgrading materials from the existing annual production capacity of 5,000 tons; no new production capacity will be added by the company), 100 tons per year of 6-hydroxy-3,4-dihydropyridoquinone (used in pharmaceutical formulations, not as a pharmaceutical intermediate), 700 tons per year of 3-chloropropionyl chloride, 2,700 tons of reagent-grade sodium fluoride, 23,700 tons of polyaluminum chloride as a water treatment agent, and 740 tons of sodium sulfite.
