On March 16, new earth was turned up in the Alxa High-Tech Zone – the construction of Inner Mongolia Ruida Juzhi New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 240,000 tons per year of methane chlorides and related products officially began. On this 469-mu plot of land, a new chemical industry enterprise with a total investment of 1.525 billion yuan will be established. Behind it stand the combined efforts of private and state-owned enterprises: Inner Mongolia Ruitai Taifeng Chemical Co., Ltd. and the High-Tech Zone Financial Investment Co., Ltd. have joined forces to impart unique qualities to this project. After the project is put into operation, the products such as chloromethane and dichloromethane that will be produced will serve as essential materials for the silicone, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries. More importantly, Alxa’s methane chloride industry will go from scratch, achieving a \"zero-based breakthrough\". Calculations show that 60% of the products can be consumed locally and in the surrounding areas, thereby providing a steady supply of raw materials for downstream fluorine chemical enterprises. Guan Qi, the secretary of the board of directors of Inner Mongolia Ruida Taifeng Chemical Co., Ltd., did some calculations for the journalists: the project is scheduled to start operations in November 2026; by 2027, its output value is expected to reach 1 billion yuan, it will create jobs for 150 people, and it will generate 30 million yuan in taxes each year ; By 2028, once full production is achieved, the annual output value will rise to 1.7 billion yuan, with annual tax revenues exceeding 60 million yuan.
