On February 26, the pilot production base for new materials project of Xiamen University’s School of Chemistry was launched in the New Materials and New Energy Industrial Park in Xinluo District. The project is planned to cover an area of 30 mu, with a total investment of 110 million yuan. The total construction area will be around 16,000 square meters. It will be invested and constructed by the Xiluo State-owned Assets Group, while Xiamen University will provide the core technical support. Upon completion, the facility will focus on incubating pilot-scale projects in areas such as polymer materials, new energy materials, and catalysts, leveraging the park’s well-developed infrastructure and industrial land to establish a seamless pathway from laboratory research to large-scale production.
