Project Name: Guyang County Integrated Project for Hydrogen Production from Renewable Green Energy and Biomass to Produce 200,000 tons of Green Methanol. Launch Date: March 5, 2026. Location: Inner Mongolia. Industry/Project Type: Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals/Chemical Raw Materials and Chemical Products/Chemical Raw Materials； New infrastructure and new industries / New industries / Hydrogen energy. Project owner: Xindao Hydrogen Energy Technology (Baotou) Co., Ltd. Total investment amount: 420 million yuan. Current progress: The project has been registered. Location of construction: Jinshan Town Economic Development Zone, Guyang County, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Construction details: In terms of energy infrastructure, 67 megawatt-hours of chemical energy storage will be installed ； The production facility includes buildings, laboratories, control rooms, circulating fluidized bed gasifiers, electrolyzer equipment, methanol synthesis equipment, as well as hydrogen and methanol storage tanks. Upon reaching full production capacity, it will generate 140 million cubic meters of hydrogen and 100,000 tons of green methanol per year ； Phase 2 mainly adds capacity expansion equipment such as electrolyzer units, hydrogen storage tanks, and alcohol storage tanks. Once the project is fully operational, it will generate 1.485 billion kWh of green electricity per year, 291 million cubic meters of green hydrogen, and 200,000 tons of green methanol. Progress milestone: March 4, 2026 – Project registration has been approved.
