Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Alxa League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region accepted and made public the environmental impact assessment documents for Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yingen Chemical Co., Ltd.’s project for the comprehensive utilization of carbon recovered from soda ash production, with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year. Project Overview (1) Project Name: Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yingen Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 1.2 million tons per year soda ash project for carbon recovery and comprehensive utilization. (2) Constructor: Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yingen Chemical Co., Ltd. (3) Nature of construction: New construction. (4) Project investment: Total investment of 3,559.7773 million yuan. (5) Construction location: Tamusubulage Sumu, Alxa Right Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on the west side of the Tamusubulage natural soda development project in Alxa Right Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. To the east of the site, there is the factory complex for the development and utilization of tamus natural alkali in Alxa Right Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, surrounding it on all sides; the other three sides are open areas. (6) Construction scale: The construction scale of this project is 600,000 tons per year of carbon recovery and 1.2 million tons per year of sodium bicarbonate. (7) Construction content: Relying on the natural soda utilization and development facility project, this is a downstream industrial project associated with that facility; it involves recovering carbon dioxide emitted by the production facilities as well as the alkaline-containing mother liquor generated during production, using these materials to produce baking soda, along with the construction of accompanying auxiliary facilities. (8) Operating system: The production units of this project operate on a continuous basis, with an annual operating time of 8,000 hours, which is equivalent to 333 days. The workshop operators work on a three-shift, two-shift rotation system. (9) Labor quota: The project requires an additional 164 laborers. Among them, there are 40 employees in the raw material preparation unit and 124 employees in the baking soda production unit. (10) Construction period: Construction period 20
