It passes through Fengtai, Fangshan, Daxing, Tongzhou, Shunyi, and Changping, connecting the five major oil depots in Changxindian, Huangcun, Tongzhou, Shunyi, and Shahe. It is a fully enclosed circular oil transport pipeline. The head of Sinopec’s Beijing Petroleum Branch explained that the installation of refined oil pipelines has enabled a closed-loop logistics system for transporting the highly clean gasoline, diesel, and aviation kerosene produced by Yanshan Petrochemical to the five major oil depots. At the same time, an aviation kerosene pipeline is also laid in the same trench, with its supply endpoint being the fuel depot at the capital airport, thereby ensuring a secure supply of aviation kerosene. ????This refined oil pipeline runs primarily along the Sixth Ring Road, with a total length of 183 kilometers, which is equivalent to the distance between the two Beijing-Tianjin highways. ????It is reported that 143 kilometers of construction are planned to be completed this year; 40 kilometers of construction in the Tongzhou section have already been finished. The pipeline is expected to be officially put into use by the end of this year. At the construction site in Gaoliying, Shunyi, the cross-section of the oil pipeline is about the size of a small washbasin, and workers on site are welding the steel pipes one by one. The technician explained, “Although the pipes may not seem significant, they transport fluid every day, and the total volume is quite substantial!” ”It is reported that the annual designed transport capacity of the refined oil pipeline is 2.85 million tons, with a pipe diameter of 0.3 meters ; The other kerosene pipeline has an annual designed capacity of 1.2 million tons, with a diameter of 0.25 meters.
In the past, refined oil and aviation fuel were mainly transported by rail; with the shift to pipeline transportation, it is now possible to replace the transport capacity of 150 oil tank cars per day. Once completed, this pipeline ensures a stable supply of aviation fuel to the capital airport, improves the safety level of refined oil transportation, reduces environmental pollution caused by natural evaporation from tankers, and saves energy lost due to evaporation, thereby **enhancing the safety and efficiency of refined oil delivery. Zhu Wangyou said that 7 isolation valve chambers are installed along the entire pipeline for refined oil and aviation fuel surrounding Beijing; in the event of an accident, these valves can be used to shut down the pipeline promptly, allowing for rapid repair actions to minimize oil losses in case of an accident and to prevent secondary disasters. The control center will be located at the Xindian Oil Depot, the first station along the Beijing-bound refined oil and jet fuel pipeline. At present, the Changxindian oil depot is under renovation and expansion. Once completed by the end of the year, it will become the largest refined oil distribution center in Beijing as well as the largest oil depot in North China.
