The 100,000 tons per year polyacrylamide project at Daqing Refining and Chemical Company has officially commenced construction

On March 17, Daqing Refining & Chemical Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 100,000 tons per year polyacrylamide project. In line with the needs of third-phase oil recovery in oil fields and with the aim of further enhancing the supply capacity of chemicals for such fields, the company began planning and implementing a 100,000 tons per year polyacrylamide production project during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The project scope mainly includes the construction of a new 80,000-ton/year acrylamide plant and a 100,000-ton/year polyacrylamide plant, as well as increasing the capacity of the existing 15,000-ton/year ammonium sulfate plant to 35,000 tons/year. It is reported that the 100,000 tons per year polyacrylamide project will be basically completed by the end of this year. Once in operation, the company’s polyacrylamide production capacity will reach 250,000 tons per year. It will be able to produce anionic products with ultra-low, low, medium, high, ultra-high molecular weights, as well as products with a molecular weight of 25 million, as well as salt-resistant products such as those with low molecular weights and DS2500. Additionally, customized production can be carried out to meet the specific needs of customers, thereby satisfying all the requirements associated with third-stage oil recovery in oil fields.
