259 million yuan! MCC Coking & Refractory, in partnership with Wuyi Group and other consortium members, won the bid for the EPC project related to the major renovation of 6-meter coke ovens. It was recently announced the results of the bidding process for the EPC general contracting of this project to renovate the 6-meter coke ovens at the coking plant on site. Name of the tendered project or bid section: On-site major renovation project for 6-meter coke ovens in the coking plant ； Construction location: Within the Liugang Steel Plant area in Loudi ； Winning bidder: Wuyi Group Shanghai Co., Ltd. (including the consortium: MCC Coking & Refractory (Dalian) Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. and Hunan Liangang Construction Co., Ltd.) Winning bid price: 258,890,000 yuan. Basic details of the project: The project involves overhauling the existing 6-meter coke ovens and their associated equipment and pipelines (including the oven structures and process facilities), as well as upgrading the waste gas treatment systems. It also includes establishing a raw coal transportation route from the silos to the new Coal No. 7 belt system, adding an automatic control system for the unloading carts and a remote operation system for the stacker-reclaimer. Dust cleaning towers and super centrifuges will be installed, and the No. 1 and No. 3 desulfurization towers will be upgraded. The fixed guides for the elevators in the quenching system, the steel structure of the elevator shafts, the insulation panels on the walkways, as well as the pipes for energy carriers, water-cooling sleeves, and related steel structures will all be replaced. Additionally, the external electrical wiring, coal gas pipelines, and other pipelines for energy carriers will be upgraded. Timeline requirement: 600 days (calendar days, the same below); planned start date: 2026-03-10; planned completion date: 2027-10-31. Scope of the bidding: I. Reform of the coking system: 1. Lining of coking oven refractory materials (including the canopy and oven drying systems). 2. Construction of coking ovens, control panels, track foundations, relocation of the No. 2 pit wall, etc. 3. Four major types of vehicles used in coking ovens, hydraulic switches. 4. Monotonic control system. 5. Systems for handling raw gas and waste gases, as well as iron components and furnace doors. 6. Process pipelines and steel structures. 7. Electrical systems, instruments, and ventilation systems for coking ovens. 8. Dust removal systems for coking ovens: systems for collecting smoke from the side of the furnace head and for removing dust during coke extraction. 9. Rising pipe ignition and venting device 10. Telecommunications and control room II. Gas purification system renovation: 1. Renovation of the condensation and blower system; 2. Replacement of the raw gas pipes, valves, and operation platforms in the area from the furnace front corridor to the gas-liquid separator. 3. Renovation and replacement of negative-pressure coal gas pipelines ； 4. Renovation of ammonia pipeline and associated facilities. III. External wiring modifications: 1. Power external wiring: (1) Modifications to the electrical external wiring required for new electrical equipment in the coke ovens, as well as for waste heat recovery systems in the rising pipes. (2) Power supply and control of equipment such as electrical valves on the external lines. (3) Addition of electrical external line renovation for the transformer room. 2. External pipeline of gas pipeline: (1) Gas pipes spanning the main road, high and low pressure ammonia pipes, and associated valves. The gas intake branch pipe, in conjunction with the coke oven rising pipe monolithic system, is equipped with an electro-hydraulic gas collection pipe pressure control valve (controlled by 4–20 mA.DC, with a 4–20 mA.DC valve position feedback unit) and an electric maintenance butterfly valve; the signals from these devices are fed into the coke oven control system for automatic control. (2) Redesign of the blast furnace gas pipeline in the regasification plant: the gas enters the coke oven from the machine side of the coke oven. The main blast furnace gas pipe has a diameter of DN1800; at the tapping point, there are tapping gate valves, electric blind valves, and electric butterfly valves. Each coke oven is equipped with a blast furnace gas pipe of DN1400, and an electric control valve is installed on the pipe that leads into the coke oven. (3) Replacement of the coke oven gas pipeline for reprocessing; electric blind valves and electric butterfly valves are installed at the gas extraction end. 3. Other energy medium external pipeline systems: compression pipelines at the coke oven end, as well as pipelines for nitrogen, steam, oxygen, fire-fighting water, production water, and domestic water. These pipelines are to be upgraded simultaneously along with the coal gas pipelines for returning coal to the furnace and those for blast furnaces, including the pipe galleries that cross the main roads.
