On April 22, the Filicos annual production project of 120,000 tons of recycled-based new materials officially commenced construction at Carbon Valley Green Bay in Jinshan District, Shanghai. This project is a benchmark initiative of global scale that is directly integrated with the petrochemical industry chain, and it has been included in Shanghai’s list of major projects for 2026. The project is located in the **-level petrochemical industrial zone in Jinshan District, Shanghai, surrounded by large-scale, fully operational integrated refining and chemical projects. Through direct pipeline connection, the cyclic pyrolysis oil produced by the project can be transported directly to the steam cracking units of adjacent petrochemical plants for the production of olefin monomers such as ethylene and propylene – without the need for mixing or additional transportation, thus achieving a true integrated closed-loop system from \"waste plastics to pyrolysis oil to olefin monomers to new materials\".
