Xinjiang Huida Energy Technology Co., Ltd. plans to build an integrated production line capable of producing 120,000 tons of green hydrogen and 700,000 tons of green ammonia per year. The integrated production line uses electrolyzed water to produce hydrogen, which is combined with nitrogen produced by air separation to synthesize liquid ammonia. The project will build 6 production lines for electrolytic water-based hydrogen production with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons each, resulting in an annual output of 120,000 tons of green hydrogen. There is 1 production line for a synthetic ammonia plant with an annual capacity of 700,000 tons, capable of producing 700,000 tons of green ammonia per year; there is also 1 production line for a nitrogen production plant with an annual capacity of 560,000 km3. Project construction content: Hydrogen production by water electrolysis, using an alkaline electrolyzer (ALK) hydrogen production process. Mainly, 86 electrolyzers with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters each will be installed, along with 2 purification units and 2 gas-liquid treatment units. It produces 120,000 tons of hydrogen per year, which is primarily used as a raw material for ammonia synthesis. The air separation plant uses the deep cryogenic air separation method to produce nitrogen. The main components include air compressor units, purification systems, distillation tower systems, etc. It is mainly used in ammonia synthesis, partially for purging and displacement, with 960,000 tons of liquid oxygen produced as a by-product. Synthetic ammonia: One new synthetic ammonia plant will be built. Cassari shaft radial low-pressure ammonia synthesis technology. It is mainly equipped with ammonia compressors, synthesis towers, etc., with an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of liquid ammonia and 665,000 tons of steam as a by-product. The project uses 100% green electricity. The project investment is 4,191.38 million yuan. Construction location: West Area of Wusu Industrial Park. In March 2026, the Xinjiang Ecology and Environmental Protection Industry Association published a public notice regarding the environmental impact assessment of Xinjiang Huida Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s integrated production facility capable of producing 120,000 tons of green hydrogen and 700,000 tons of green ammonia per year.
