Witnessing the decade-long rapid development of chemical processing equipment: Praise for China’s prosperous and strong era. Replies will be rewarded; discussions are welcome. ------------------------------------------- Recently, explosion-proof wheeled inspection robots were officially put into use at Sinopec’s 4.2 million tons per year catalytic cracking unit. Equipped with navigation and sensing devices, this inspection robot can replace or assist human inspectors in a fully autonomous or semi-autonomous manner, carrying out tasks that are tedious and repetitive, take place in hazardous environments, or cannot be done by humans. This is an important step in Zhongke Refining and Chemicals’ efforts to build intelligent and information-driven factories, as well as to implement intelligent upgrades to equipment; it enables smart inspection robots to become indispensable \"operation and maintenance personnel\" for petrochemical facilities. Equipped with high-definition cameras, noise sensors, and environmental sensors, intelligent inspection robots can replace human eyes, ears, and noses ; The built-in infrared thermal imager, AI chip, and explosion-proof pan-tilt sensor can replace human skin, brain, limbs, etc.; by using intelligent sensor devices to carry out inspections instead of humans, intelligent analysis and judgment of the inspection results can be performed. Functions such as early warnings for equipment abnormalities, detection of leaks, and monitoring of people’s safe behavior enable a clear understanding of the status of production equipment, thus achieving the goal of improving the quality and efficiency of equipment inspections and making information collection and problem resolution more intelligent. Currently, Sinochem Refining has introduced an intelligent inspection robot system for the first time in its catalytic cracking unit, a key facility in oil refining, and has initially completed the debugging of the robot’s mapping and inspection functions. Next, Sinochem Refining & Chemicals will continue to explore and experiment, making every effort to achieve full coverage of intelligent inspection robot systems, thereby facilitating the advancement of oil and chemical production and operation management toward automation and intelligence. The pressure on inspection workers has decreased, and the need for staff has also reduced. Let’s all talk about it

On December 10, 2019, Sinopec’s fifth-generation explosion-proof wheeled inspection robot for the South China region was officially put into use at the Huangpu station, and it was able to carry out the scheduled inspection tasks independently.
Entering the Huizhou petrochemical plant operated by CNOOC, explosion-proof intelligent inspection robots move around the facilities within an area the size of 140 football fields; they can avoid obstacles automatically and climb slopes intelligently, thus replacing manual inspections; Employees can wear AR glasses to conduct real-time remote “consultations” with experts in real scenes” ; AI monitoring enables continuous, both static and dynamic, surveillance; it automatically detects abnormal conditions such as toxic gases and transmits data from the site ; The intelligent explosion-proof handheld terminal is similar to a smartphone; by placing it on the sensing area of a device, inspectors can use it to carry out on-site inspections and monitor work progress, thereby enabling coordinated production management across all team members.
Many refineries are equipped with inspection robots.
Wish a prosperous and strong China.
