The main structure of the cryogenic nitrogen production unit for the coke oven gas hydrogen production and SNG co-generation project at Hebei Fengmei Coking Co., Ltd. has been installed. According to a report from Saiding Company in March 2026, the installation of this main structure was successfully completed, which accelerates the progress of this project. The coker gas to hydrogen with co-production of SNG project at Fengmei Coking Company involves converting the existing methanol production facility, which has an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, for another purpose. Using coke oven gas as raw material, and leveraging the wet desulfurization process, gas holders, coke oven gas compression, and advanced desulfurization units of the methanol plant, new processes such as shift reaction, decarburization, membrane separation for drying, and compression are employed to produce natural gas products. The hydrogen is transported via pipelines to the urban gas network, while the excess hydrogen is fed into the existing 80,000-ton synthetic ammonia plant; as a result, an annual production volume of 140 million cubic meters of natural gas and 80,000 tons of synthetic ammonia will be achieved, with an annual output value of 308 million yuan.
