The Fulin Times New Materials Co., Ltd. in Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan, has a project to produce 500,000 tons per year of lithium iron phosphate material for high-end energy storage applications; this project primarily involves the construction of facilities for manufacturing 500,000 tons per year of cathode materials. The project covers a total area of 567 mu, with a total construction area of 220,000 square meters. It includes facilities such as grinding systems, spray drying systems, crushing systems, kilns, an intelligent control center, digital workshops, intelligent vertical warehouses, and testing equipment, enabling an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of new type of highly compacted lithium iron phosphate. The project adopts a phased construction and simultaneous implementation approach, with the entire production capacity to be established in two phases: Phase 1 focuses on building a production line for 250,000 tons of new lithium iron phosphate, while Phase 2 sees the construction of another 250,000 tons worth of such production lines carried out simultaneously. The project is scheduled to come online in August 2026. Once operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 17.5 billion yuan and annual profits and taxes in the hundreds of millions of yuan, while creating over 600 high-quality jobs. Upon completion, the project will further improve the layout of the new energy industry in Yijinhuoluo Banner, assist in expanding and strengthening the lithium battery industry chain, and continue to drive regional industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development.
