The investor is Xinjiang Dongming Plastics Co., Ltd., which is part of the Dongfang Hope Group. The project entails the construction of an facility capable of producing 800,000 tons of olefins per year, with production processes that utilize coal as a raw material to generate 2.2 million tons of methanol per year, 866,000 tons of olefins from methanol, 500,000 tons of polypropylene, and 400,000 tons of polyethylene. The project adopted the process package for 2×114,000 Nm³/h (oxygen production) air separation units provided by Hangyang Group, with China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. being responsible for the design of the units. Recently, the review of the 30% scale model of the project’s air separation unit was completed. The review meeting focused on the key aspects of the detailed design, conducting comprehensive and in-depth technical evaluations regarding the overall layout plan, process flow simulation, placement of key equipment, and lifting plans for large-scale equipment, all in order to ensure the scientific validity and feasibility of the design. During the review process, Tianchen Company’s project team provided a detailed explanation of the design Plan through 3D demonstrations, which facilitated efficient and smooth technical communication. Subsequently, all parties involved put forward various targeted optimization suggestions based on the actual requirements of production and operation, and reached a consensus on key technical aspects such as equipment layout and the instrumentation and electrical systems. This laid a solid foundation for a seamless transition to the subsequent detailed design and construction phases. The successful completion of this 30% model review marks an important milestone in the project.
