On April 4, a pre-approval announcement was released for Hubei Fusi Innovative Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 15,000 tons per year of fluorine-containing functional materials. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Project to produce 15,000 tons per year of fluorine-containing functional materials; Construction unit: Hubei Fosin Innovative Materials Co., Ltd ; Construction location: Baiyang Industrial Park, Yichang High-Tech Zone, Hubei Province ; Project investment: 117.0243 million yuan ; Project nature: New construction ; Construction contents: Build a new set of sulfonyl fluoride reaction equipment, along with associated facilities such as tank areas, external pipelines, safety systems, and environmental protection facilities. This project adds another identical reaction vessel, with the raw materials being changed from thionyl chloride to sulfur dioxide and chlorine; everything else remains unchanged. The previous production capacity of the facility was 15,000 tons per year of sulfuryl fluoride, and this remains unchanged in this project. Regarding Hubei Fusi Innovative Materials Co., Ltd.: Established on January 12, 2023, Hubei Fusi Innovative Materials Co., Ltd. is headquartered in the High-Tech Zone of Yichang, Hubei. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hangzhou Fusi Innovative Materials Technology Co., Ltd., with Wang Hui as its legal representative. The company is a technology-driven enterprise in the field of new materials. Its core team consists mainly of professionals with backgrounds from the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University, and it focuses on the research, development, production, and sales of materials specifically designed for electronic applications, fluorine-containing functional materials, as well as key materials used in lithium battery electrolytes.
