On March 31, good news came regarding the lifting work for Henan Junheng Industry’s 1 million tons per year sustainable aviation fuel production project from used oils and fats – the largest SAF production project under construction in China, which is being carried out by Shaanxi Huajian. The lifting team from Shaanxi Huajian used a 3,200-ton class crawler crane to lift the core equipment, namely the pretreatment reactor, thereby providing a crucial foundation for the further progress of the project. The pre-treatment reactor to be lifted this time has a single-unit height of 76 meters and a weight of over a thousand tons, requiring extremely high precision in lifting as well as strict safety controls. The project lifting team attached great importance to this lifting task; it organized expert review meetings in advance, continuously improved the lifting construction plan, assembled a team of highly skilled personnel, and optimized the assembly procedure for the 3200-ton crawler crane, thereby significantly reducing the time required for assembly based on the actual conditions at the site. Meanwhile, in the subgrade treatment work carried out using the 3200t crawler crane, the project team adopted the CFG pile method for foundation treatment after consulting with the design institute, thereby providing a more environmentally friendly and efficient solution that ensured the smooth progress of the lifting operations. At 9:17 a.m., the lifting construction officially commenced. The construction uses a single-machine lifting and delivery method; a 3,200-ton crawler crane is positioned in the area to the north of the foundation to lift the top cover of the reactor, while a 900-ton crawler crane is used to lift the lifting lugs at the rear of the reactor. Two cranes first lifted the pretreatment reactor 500 mm away from the manufacturing jig; after a thorough inspection to confirm it met the requirements, a 3200-ton crawler crane raised the front part of the reactor, while a 900-ton crawler crane handled the rear part to transport it, allowing the equipment to gradually transition from a horizontal position to a vertical one. Subsequently, the 900t crawler crane removed the hook, and the 3200t crawler crane lifted the equipment vertically to a height of 1 meter above the ground. Subsequently, the crane moved from north to south while carrying the load, then turned from east to south to position the equipment directly above the foundation; it lowered the hook onto the foundation, aligned it, tightened the anchor bolts, and then removed the hook. After nearly 5 hours of lifting operations, this lifting task was completed successfully.
