At the site of Urumqi Petrochemical’s 2 million tons per year pure terephthalic acid (PTA) production facility, which is part of CNPC’s effort to establish the largest aromatics industry base in the northwest of China, employees from CNPC First Construction Company are carrying out work on installing underground pipes and pouring concrete. This is the first time in 19 years that the company has been contracted to work on a PTA plant, and it is of great significance for the company to enhance its competitive advantages in the chemical industry. At the site of the refinery structure optimization project for Fushun Petrochemical’s reforming and hydrogenation units, the foundational construction is progressing steadily.
