It was recently reported that the comprehensive utilization project at Hebei Fengheng New Materials, with a total investment of 190 million yuan, aimed at producing 60,000 tons of anthracene oil and 150,000 tons of coal tar, has reached a critical final stage prior to commissioning. Equipment testing and the completion of related facilities are progressing simultaneously, and all requirements are being met steadily. The project is expected to be fully completed and start trial production in June 2026. The project site covers 41 mu, with a total construction area of 4,445 square meters. It primarily involves the construction of a Class C workshop, tank farms, a Class C warehouse, a power station, a comprehensive office building, and supporting facilities. The planned layout is scientific and reasonable, while the construction standards are strict and well-regulated. Anthracene oil is a crucial basic raw material in fields such as pharmaceutical intermediates, dye precursors, and plastic additives. It enjoys stable market demand and broad application prospects. Hebei Fengheng’s new materials project focuses on the advanced processing of coal tar, filling a gap in the production of high-end chemical raw materials in Cixian County. By \"extending, supplementing, and strengthening industrial chains,\" it promotes an accelerated transformation of the county’s chemical industry from basic processing to advanced manufacturing. Once the project is put into operation, it will be able to process 60,000 tons of anthracene oil and 150,000 tons of coal tar per year. The annual output will include 26,000 tons of crystallization-free anthracene oil, 4,000 tons of crude anthracene, 120,000 tons of coal tar type 1, and 60,000 tons of carbon black oil. The annual economic value is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan, while it will also create more than 100 job opportunities. Decrystallized anthracene oil is a high-quality raw material for wood preservation, anhydrous cannon mud, and carbon black production ； Crude anthracene can be refined into fine chemical products such as anthracene, phenanthrene, and carbazole, and it is a key intermediate in high-end chemical manufacturing ； The quality of No. 1 coal tar exceeds the National Standard 5 for diesel; it is an ideal substitute for petroleum-based diesel, with great potential as a new energy alternative ； Carbon black oil is widely used in industries such as tire rubber, ink and coatings, and pharmaceuticals, with strong market demand. The project employs advanced technologies to improve the efficiency of comprehensive resource utilization, facilitating the transformation of coal tar from waste into a valuable resource. While reducing the environmental burden, it significantly enhances the industrial added value.
