Recently, the first structural segment was successfully lifted into place at the Huizhou 25-4 project, which is part of the Zhuhai Deepwater Equipment Manufacturing Base. This marks the official start of the assembly work for the upper structure of this project, laying a solid foundation for its further development. The Huizhou 25-4 project involves the construction of an 8-leg, three-story drilling and production platform; its upper structure is designed to be 72.6 meters tall, exceeding the height of 25-story residential buildings. It is 104.5 meters long and 52 meters wide, with a projected area equivalent to that of nearly 13 standard basketball courts. Its weight is around 30,000 tons, and once completed, it will become the largest offshore crude oil processing platform in Asia. To ensure the efficient progress of the project, the project team adopted an \"integrated design approach\" that involved coordinating design, procurement, and construction processes, thereby enabling better management throughout the project lifecycle and helping to overcome various technical and coordination challenges in advance. During the phase of constructing the upper structure on land, the project team divided it into 31 separate structural segments for prefabrication, before integrating them into 14 deck sections to facilitate orderly assembly. The structural segment No. 1 that was lifted this time weighed 740 tons in terms of its individual structure and integrated installation. The project team optimized the lifting plan in advance and made thorough preparations; with the help of 4 800-ton crawler cranes, the lifting operation was carried out accurately, safely, efficiently, and in an orderly manner. Moving forward, the project team will aim for high quality and efficiency, leveraging all available resources to ensure the successful completion of all construction tasks
