Significant progress achieved in the Hainan LNG Phase II project with the dome lift operation for Tank No. 3, whose dome weighs 821 tons

Recently, news came from **Pipeline Network Group: The second phase of Hainan’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, a major oil and gas infrastructure facility in China, has completed the lifting of the dome of Tank No. 3, which weighs 821 tons. This marks a significant milestone in the progress of this project. 　　The first phase of the Hainan LNG receiving station has seen the completion and operation of 2 LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 160,000 cubic meters each; the second phase involves the construction of 3 new prestressed concrete full-volume LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 220,000 cubic meters. At present, the overall progress of Phase II of the project is nearly half complete, with completion expected by 2027. Once finished, it will significantly enhance the capacity for emergency peak shaving and secure gas supply across Hainan Island and the coastal areas of South China.
