The hydrogen-electric coupling project at Jinchuan Chemical has entered the construction phase. This project is part of Jinchuan Group’s Chemical Company’s initiative to demonstrate advanced green and low-carbon technologies for hydrogen-electric coupling in the chlor-alkali industry; the necessary compliance procedures as well as the preparatory work related to site preparation have been completed recently, marking the full onset of the construction phase for this project. This project is a strategic initiative of Jinchuan Group aimed at promoting the green and low-carbon development of the industry; it seeks to create China’s first demonstration system that combines solid-state hydrogen storage with hydrogen fuel cells for direct power supply in chlor-alkali production. Its aim is to achieve the efficient utilization of hydrogen generated as a by-product in the chlor-alkali industry, thereby reducing carbon emissions and enhancing efficiency through energy recycling. Upon completion, the project will not only provide a crucial engineering validation platform for new materials developed independently by the Group, such as solid-state hydrogen storage alloys, but also strive to overcome a series of technical challenges, including the efficient utilization of hydrogen generated as an industrial by-product and the stable operation of high-power hydrogen fuel cells. The goal is to develop a core technology system and proprietary technologies with fully independent intellectual property rights, thereby serving as a model for the green transformation of the industry. Meanwhile, once the project is fully completed, cogeneration will be achieved, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of comprehensive energy utilization, and it offers notable environmental and economic benefits. To ensure the efficient and standardized progress of the project, the chemical company has established weekly meetings for project construction and a monthly scheduling mechanism. It strictly implements supervision and follow-up systems, and through coordination among managers at various levels, inter-departmental collaboration, and on-site inspections, it addresses various issues that arise during the project’s implementation in a timely manner. In terms of process control, the company standardizes fund and financial management. It strictly controls investments through a linkage mechanism between budget review and design optimization. Additionally, it rigorously implements safety control measures and conscientiously carries out hazard identification and rectification efforts.
