On May 20, the Zhizao New City Branch of the Quzhou Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a announcement regarding its decision on approving the environmental impact assessment report for Quzhou Jinyuan Hongtai Refrigerant Co., Ltd.’s project to upgrade its production capacity to 15,000 tons per year of environmentally friendly fluorinated hydrocarbons. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Technical renovation project for annual production of 15,000 tons of environmentally friendly fluorocarbons ； Construction unit: Quzhou Jinyuan Hongtai Refrigerant Co., Ltd ； Construction site: No. 3, Donggang 9th Road, Donggang Area, Zhizao New City, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province ； Investment amount: 30 million yuan ； Project nature: Renovation ； Construction contents: It is planned to apply for the demolition of the idle dichloromethane/trichloromethane workshop and Tank Farm No. 1, and to convert the site into a Class D warehouse for storing Class D and E refrigerants. Meanwhile, by utilizing existing production facilities, the production capacity of current products will be adjusted, resulting in an annual increase of 4,000 tons in the output of environmentally friendly fluorohydrocarbons (specifically, an increase of 3,500 tons/year for R134a, 500 tons/year for R507a, and 100 tons/year for R125; while production of R143a will decrease by 100 tons/year). This will result in an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons of environmentally friendly fluorohydrocarbons. Regarding Quzhou Jinyuan Hongtai Refrigerant Co., Ltd.: Quzhou Jinyuan Hongtai Refrigerant Co., Ltd. was established on September 30, 2009. It is a private limited liability company primarily engaged in the blending, packaging, and sales of refrigerants. The business scope specified in the business license is: storage, blending, and repackaging of refrigerant series, dichloromethane, and trichloromethane ； Import and export of goods.
