On April 7, the draft environmental impact assessment report for the Green Carbon Reduction Integrated Project (Phase 1) of Yulong Island Petrochemical Integration Project (Phase 1) at Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was made public for comments. Construction Content: Construction of a new methanol production facility, etc.; upon completion, it will enable an annual methanol production capacity of 550,000 tons. On April 3, Shandong Yulong Petrochemical officially released the latest updates on the project’s progress: the Yulong Island integrated refining and chemical processing project (Phase 1) has entered the final stage of commissioning. The key units have successively completed handover, individual unit tests, and joint tests, with full operational capacity expected to be achieved in the second quarter of 2026. This marks the imminent commencement of this privately-funded integrated refining and chemical processing project, which is the largest of its kind in China.
