The two parties will work together, using PP long-glass-fiber flame-retardant materials, to develop battery enclosures that enable a weight reduction of over 20% and cost savings of around 15%, while achieving a good balance among safety, lightweight design, and engineering suitability, thereby contributing to the advancement of the new energy vehicle and energy storage industries. 　　PP long glass fiber flame-retardant material (LGF-PP FR) is a high-performance modified composite material made by using polypropylene as the matrix, incorporating 10–25 mm long glass fibers, and adding a halogen-free flame-retardant system. 　　The characteristics of this material are as follows: 1. The long glass fibers form a three-dimensional network-reinforced structure within the matrix, endowing the material with excellent mechanical strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability. Its impact resistance and creep resistance far surpass those of short glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene ； 　　2. The product’s flame retardancy rating meets UL94 V-0 standards; it can extinguish itself when separated from a heat source, thus satisfying the requirements for protecting battery enclosures against thermal runaway ； 　　3. Its density is approximately 1.2 g/cm³, which is only 45% that of aluminum alloys and 15% that of ordinary carbon steel. Additionally, it offers advantages such as resistance to chemical corrosion, ease of processing, and reasonable cost. It is a key material for lightweighting in new energy vehicles and is widely used in areas such as power battery enclosures, battery trays, casings for energy storage devices, automotive electronics, and various electrical components. 　　Anhui Chiyu New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was established in February 2021 with a registered capital of 200 million yuan. It is located in the Hefei Circular Economy Demonstration Park in Feidong County, Hefei City, Anhui Province. The company is part of the Guoxuan Group, with Anhui Guoxuan Feidong New Energy Technology holding 95% of its shares; it serves as a key supporting enterprise in Guoxuan High-Tech’s industrial chain. The company specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of key components for power battery systems used in new energy vehicles. Its core products include power battery trays, composite material battery covers, aluminum alloy battery enclosures, and automotive interior and exterior trim parts. It has developed a comprehensive manufacturing capability covering every stage—from battery enclosure forming and surface treatment to final assembly and inspection.
