Wastewater treatment plant: It is primarily used to collect and treat oily wastewater, process wastewater, domestic wastewater, polluted rainwater, and accident-related wastewater generated by various production units and auxiliary facilities. The quality of the treated water should meet the standards for primary recycled water, which can then be used as make-up water for the circulating water cooling system. Wastewater treatment plant capacity: The pretreatment system for oily wastewater can handle 900 m3/h of wastewater, while the biochemical and subsequent water treatment systems can handle 2000 m3/h. According to the overall design documents, the sewage treatment plant system includes: a sewage pretreatment system, a biological sewage treatment system, an advanced sewage treatment system, a sludge treatment system, a chemical dosing system, an odor control system, accident tanks, as well as fire protection accident tanks (including rainwater lift stations), etc. Annual operating time: 8,400 hours. Saline wastewater treatment unit: It mainly treats clean wastewater such as wastewater from the circulating cooling water system, desalinated water system, and boiler wastewater. The treated reclaimed water should meet the standards for high-quality recycled water and be used as make-up water for desalinated water; the wastewater with a high salt content generated is sent to an evaporation unit for further concentration. After pre-sedimentation within the facility, the concentrated brine is sent to external evaporation ponds. The treatment capacity of the salt-containing wastewater treatment plant is 2000 m3/h. The design specifies a flow rate of 40 m3/h of high-concentration brine to be discharged into the evaporation pond. According to the overall project design, the saline wastewater treatment system includes a saline wastewater concentration system and a saline wastewater evaporation system. Off-site evaporation ponds: The off-site evaporation ponds and associated pipelines of this facility include the pipelines connecting the plant area to the evaporation ponds, the evaporation tanks, the emergency tanks, the dry salt tanks, and the hazardous waste landfill. The pipelines from the plant area to the evaporation ponds are primarily used to transport the highly concentrated brine resulting from the treatment of saline wastewater in the plant’s evaporation system to those ponds. The distance between the plant area and the evaporation ponds is approximately 8 kilometers. Evaporation ponds are used to dry high-salinity wastewater discharged from the plant’s brine treatment system. According to the project feasibility study report, the design handles a flow rate of 40 m3/h of concentrated brine with a salt content of 15% wt to 20% wt. Gan Salt Lake mainly receives the crystalline salts that precipitate in the evaporation ponds; the filling is based on a maximum concentration of 20%, with the salt content in the incoming water being approximately 64,000 tons per year. The main components of salt include calcium sulfate, sodium sulfate, calcium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, etc. The hazardous waste landfill is used to dispose of the hazardous waste generated by the process units of Shenhua Ningmei’s 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project. The fly ash emitted from hazardous waste incinerators, as well as the sludge at the bottom of tanks containing chemical raw materials, among the wastes to be sent to hazardous waste landfills, must be treated through solidification at a solidification facility before they can be disposed of in such landfills; other solid wastes can be directly buried there. The waste disposal volume at the hazardous waste landfill is 39,196 m3/year. The accident tank is used to collect the accident wastewater discharged when the process units operate abnormally. Under an accident condition, the water intake rate is calculated at 2000 m3/h; the accident response time is approximately 7 days (168 hours), allowing for the reception of 350,000 cubic meters of wastewater from accidents.
