May I ask everyone, assuming there are multiple leak points in the cathode liquid phase pipeline that need to be repaired by welding, how should the system be shut down? Should it be sufficient to purge the alkali nitrogen gas, or is it necessary to first remove the alkali from the system, then clean it using pure water in a circulation process, followed by continuous nitrogen purging?
It’s best to clarify which section of the pipeline is involved. Tasks of this kind are usually carried out during major maintenance when the system is shut down; follow the operating procedures accordingly. Depending on the location of the leak in the pipeline, it is generally sufficient to remove the alkaline nitrogen gas and replace it, with the specific approach determined based on the actual circumstances.

It should be completely isolated from the system, purged with nitrogen, and sampling is acceptable once the results are satisfactory; sampling must be carried out at regular intervals... Under no circumstances should operations continue while maintenance is being done there – if the system is completely stopped, it’s best to disconnect the instruments connected to the pipes, especially solenoid valves.
