There are part-time technical consultant positions – how is the salary calculated for these?

Has anyone worked as a technical consultant on a part-time basis? How do people usually calculate their salary in such cases? I go to a company to spend some time there now; I go there three to four days a month. We keep in touch from time to time. How is the salary calculated in this case?
Don’t ask around about this. Discuss it on your own; if it seems appropriate, then wash it. If more people find out, trouble is likely to arrive soon.
What kind of consultants? Those who provide market information, review documents and sign off on them; those who charge a fee merely for their title in the technical phase; those who offer technical training – there are many different types
Do you need someone for odd jobs? Carry a bag, make a phone call, book a room, be a bodyguard or something like that. . . As long as there’s food, that’s fine. This is something done willingly by both of us, right? It can be charged by the hour.
