Hello, experts! I have a tender for the installation of boilers in a power plant. Regarding the qualification review, can a License for the Installation, Modification, and Repair of Special Equipment (Grade 1 for boilers) be used as a substitute for a License for the Installation, Modification, and Repair of Special Equipment (GC1 GD1 for pressure pipelines)? If it can be replaced, what is the basis for that? Also, if GC1 GD1 cannot be replaced, which licenses can be used as substitutes? I got no replies in the boiler forum; are there any experts in this field?
Pressure pipeline GC1 can replace (Boiler Class 1)
It is stipulated that there must be activity every day; construction needs to take place, and preparations must be made in advance. It is recommended to set high standards, as security checks at the central level are currently quite challenging.
Be sure to choose an installation manufacturer in accordance with the regulations; otherwise, accidents can have serious consequences.
This kind of thing can confuse people
It is easy to understand that the pipelines within the steam generation section of the boiler system can be installed by those with qualifications for boiler installation, while those outside this range need to be installed by entities with appropriate pipeline installation qualifications. This separation is intended to facilitate the owner’s consideration of contracting out the entire boiler system as a whole. We generally take the first flange at the outlet of the cylinder as the delivery point. Qualifications alone cannot suffice; after all, pipeline regulations also need to take into account special requirements such as those related to special materials and toxic substances. Boilers also have their own characteristics, often involving high flow rates and high temperatures.
