A reducer generally achieves deceleration by using the teeth on the gear with fewer teeth on the input shaft of the motor, internal combustion engine, or other high-speed power source to mesh with the larger gear on the output shaft. A reducer is a transmission device used for low speeds and high torque; this is a basic fact that requires no further explanation. Ordinary reducers also employ several pairs of gears operating on the same principle to achieve the desired level of deceleration, and the ratio of the number of teeth between the large and small gears constitutes the transmission ratio. Stage: The number of sets of planetary gears.
