In the installation design process provided to us by the design institute, for air cooling units (such as the air coolers at the top of the distillation tower and those used in the absorption and stabilization sections), as well as pumps (such as light oil pumps and liquefied gas pumps), there should be areas where steam or nitrogen can be used for purging. All these connections are made using swivel joints; when we asked how purging should be carried out, they replied that belts should be used. We said, this doesn’t comply with the regulations, right? He asked, what regulations? It’s driving us crazy. I would like to ask the experts at Haichuan: are there any regulations regarding this? If everything is connected using belts, then for one set of equipment, 6 people will be needed per shift – it’s impossible to keep up with the workload.

There are no issues with the design. The \"flexible joint\" you mentioned is also known as a quick connector; it is a prefabricated fitting. Temporarily attach tape when needed. This design is generally used in situations where operations are not frequent, so there is no need to install permanent facilities.
