Precautions for VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pumps: 1. When connecting the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump to the motor, it is necessary to lift the pump shaft upward by 1-2 mm before tightening the bolts of the coupling; 2. Before starting the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump, it is necessary to manually rotate the pump rotor to check that it moves smoothly ; 3. Before starting the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump, it is necessary to fill the pump with water (until water sprays out from the plug at the pump’s discharge end). Then, close the outlet gate valve and the pressure gauge, as well as the vacuum gauge plug ; 4. Make sure to regularly check whether there is any water leaking from the gland located below the coupling of the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump. Under normal conditions, no leakage should occur, or only a small amount of liquid should be present in the gland; if there is significant leakage, the mechanical seal inside the gland should be adjusted or replaced ; 5. Inspect the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump: The pump should be inspected after 1,000 hours of operation. If the radial clearance between the impeller and the seal ring exceeds 0.5 mm due to wear, the seal ring should be replaced promptly (mechanical seals, copper vanes, and shaft sleeves should be replaced annually). 6. Stop operating the VMP multi-stage clean water circulation pump: slowly close the outlet gate valve and pressure gauge, as well as the vacuum plug, and then turn off the motor. If the ambient temperature is low, the water inside the pump should be drained to prevent it from freezing and cracking. When not in use for an extended period, the pump should be disassembled, the water from the components dried, and anti-rust oil applied to the sliding surfaces before storing it properly.
