Heat exchange tube welding: Can copper and stainless steel be welded together? What welding method should be used? Welding materials? How to conduct welding procedure qualification?
What problem? Is there a leak in the tube sheet? Putting aside the question of whether welding is feasible or not, the thermal stresses and welding defects resulting from welding can easily lead to further corrosion. Polymer-metal repair materials can be used for repair without the need for welding, and polymer-ceramic coatings can be employed for corrosion protection.
