During unloading, as the liquid level in the tank decreases, the net positive suction head of the unloading pump may become insufficient, resulting in cavitation. To protect the unloading pump, an unloading compressor is installed to draw out the gas from the tank and increase the pressure inside the tank car. At the same time, after unloading is complete, the gas phase inside the tank truck is drawn out using a compressor to ensure it is emptied as thoroughly as possible.
