Is there hydrogen sulfide in the actual operation of methanol scrubber exhaust gas?
There is definitely a concentration at the outlet of the stripping tower; it is generally around 10-20 PPMv. After passing through the water-based tower, this concentration is significantly reduced, and it can usually be brought within the allowable emission limits.
Our on-site emissions do have a hydrogen sulfide smell.
I know of a company whose exhaust gases contain 50PPM of hydrogen sulfide; due to the terrain, these gases cannot disperse, and they are not released through tall chimneys. They plan to use desulfurization agents from Hubei, with an investment of over 6 million yuan, but the annual operating costs will be around 3 million yuan!
Does the design department have any good solutions? Should it be studied?

There will be some amount, especially when the load is low, hydrogen sulfide levels may be higher as well. The exhaust gas from our side is not released directly; it is sent to the boiler, where it is desulfurized using ammonia along with the boiler’s flue gas, and only after meeting the emission standards is it released through the chimney.
